Finding Support Through Counselling
Life doesn’t always move in a straight line. At times, it can feel overwhelming, uncertain, or simply harder than usual. During these moments, having a space to pause, reflect, and feel heard can make a meaningful difference.
Here at Live Well, counselling is offered as a supportive and collaborative process—one that gently considers the whole person, not just the challenges they may be facing.
A Space to Be Heard
Our skilled professional counsellors Ramone and Angie love providing an opportunity to talk openly in a safe, respectful, and non-judgemental environment. Whether you’re navigating stress, anxiety, life transitions, or simply feeling out of balance, sessions are guided by your pace and your needs.
There’s no expectation to have everything figured out. Sometimes, the first step is simply having space held for you where you can speak freely and feel listened to. Holding space is the practice of being fully present with someone, offering a safe, non-judgemental environment for them to experience emotions or navigate challenges while validating their thoughts and feelings.
A Holistic Approach to Wellbeing
At Live Well, our counselling services are grounded in a holistic philosophy—recognising the connection between mind, body, and emotional health. Rather than focusing on one aspect in isolation, this approach gently explores how different areas of life may be interacting.
Sessions may draw on a range of evidence-informed approaches, such as:
Talk-based therapy
Mindfulness and grounding techniques
Body-aware (somatic) practices
Trauma-informed care
These approaches are introduced thoughtfully, depending on what feels appropriate for each individual.
Tailored to You
No two people experience life in the same way, which is why counselling at Live Well is personalised. Your experiences, values, and goals help shape the direction of each session.
Together with your counsellor, you may explore patterns, emotions, and responses, while also developing practical tools that can support you in day-to-day life.
This is not about quick fixes, but about creating space for insight, understanding, and gradual change.
Support Through Life’s Challenges
People seek counselling for many different reasons. Some may be going through a specific life event, while others may simply feel that something isn’t quite right.
Counselling may support individuals experiencing:
Stress or anxiety
Low mood
Life transitions
Relationship challenges
Grief and loss
A desire for greater self-understanding
Everyone’s journey is different, and there is no “right” reason to reach out.
Gentle Growth, At Your Own Pace
Counselling can be a space for reflection, growth, and learning. Over time, it may help you to better understand yourself, respond to challenges in new ways, and feel more connected to what matters most to you.
Progress can look different for everyone, and sessions are always guided by what feels manageable and supportive for you as you develop a therapeutic relationship with your counsellor.
Flexible and Accessible Care
To make support more accessible, counselling is available both in-person and via telehealth. This allows you to choose an option that fits comfortably within your routine and lifestyle. Ramone offers appointments by telehealth only, while Angie offers appointments both by telehealth or face to face.
Taking the First Step
Reaching out for support can feel like a big step, especially if it’s something new. It’s okay to take your time and move forward when you feel ready.
Our counselling is offered with care, respect, and a focus on supporting you as a whole person—wherever you may be on your journey.
