    Book with Wes

Wes is the founder and director of Live Well, with nearly three decades of experience in acupuncture and holistic care.

He was drawn to the field of health and wellbeing through his personal practice of yoga and meditation, where he witnessed the profound impact of nervous system regulation on overall vitality. Wes completed a Bachelor of Applied Science (Acupuncture) at UTS in 1996 and later undertook further studies in herbal medicine and yoga teaching after returning to Canberra.

A central focus of Wes’s clinical work is supporting nervous system regulation. Acupuncture may be used to encourage states of deep rest and relaxation, helping the body shift out of prolonged stress responses and toward greater steadiness and balance.

Wes has a particular interest in the relationship between chronic stress, immune function and inflammatory processes. Many people who seek his support are navigating long-standing immune-related or inflammatory presentations, often alongside fatigue, burnout or persistent stress. Contemporary research continues to explore the complex interaction between the nervous system and immune health, and Wes’s work reflects this integrated perspective.

Rather than focusing solely on symptoms, his approach works at a deeper, whole-person level, supporting regulation, resilience and the body’s capacity to adapt over time.

Wes is passionate about helping people reconnect with a sense of steadiness and vitality so they can engage more fully in their lives.

Outside of clinical practice, Wes enjoys writing, speaking and education. In his own time, he values time with his family, meditation, surfing and travel.
